The Nashville Predators will finish their four-game road trip against the Winnipeg Jets. It’s the fourth matchup of the season between the two Central Division rivals and the Predators lead the series 2-1.
Nashville has lost two straight and three of its last five. And while it isn’t known as a heavy offensive team, the Predators have recently found offensive success, scoring a combined 15 goals in the last five games. Now that recipe hasn’t exactly translated to too many wins, but Nashville will be just fine most nights if it could keep that type of production up. The goalkeeping has to improve, as Devan Dubnyk and Carter Hutton have allowed five goals apiece in each of their last starts.

The Jets have been quite hot recently, winning six of their last seven games. That includes an extremely impressive win on the road against the Chicago Blackhawks. Goalie Ondrej Pavelec has really settled down as of late, allowing no more than two goals in five of his last six starts.
Both teams are about as even as it gets. Other than Winnipeg playing the better hockey and wining more recent games, neither team has a clear cut advantage on either end of the ice. For the most part, they both struggle to score and have a hard time stopping the other team from scoring.
So, with that said, you have to go with the home team in a toss-up matchup. Winnipeg is 7-1 in its last eight games against Western Conference competition and is 6-2 in its last eight home games. The home team is also 5-1 in the last six meetings between these two teams.
Keep riding the Winnipeg hot streak until it cools off.
