The American Airlines Center and the Dallas Stars welcome the Vancouver Canucks to town.
On the ice, Vancouver continued to struggle in a 1-0 road loss at Phoenix but off the ice the Canucks traded goalie Roberto Luongo which many believe is just the beginning of things to come. The Coyotes were in the midst of a four game skid but were saved by Antoine Vermette's first period tally backed up by stellar goaltending of Mike Smith who earned his third shutout of the season by turning away all 23 shots. At the other end of the ice, Canucks netminder Eddie Lack was sensational with a 31 save effort but no support to back up an otherwise winnable effort.

Dallas fell victim to an early offensive flurry from Columbus and were never able to recover in a 4-2 road defeat. The shellshocked Stars saw Antem Anisimov, Boone Jenner and RJ Umberger score in the first 20 minutesbefore settling down and trying to comeback. Alex Goligoski and Trevor Daley ignited a Dallas rally with third period goals that cut the deficit to 3-2 before Anisimov posted his second goal of the night with just over four minutes remaining to the Blue Jackets some breathing room. The loss went to Dan Ellis who recorded 16 saves while Sergei Bobrovski picked up the victory with 31 stops to help Columbus to their third consecutive win.
Vancouver is 1-4 in their last five meetings with Columbus while the under has gone 18-6-3 in the past 27. Without knowing the line I see a struggling Canucks club which has me thinking Dallas but you know Vancouver won't lose forever...
