There are five games on the NHL schedule today, and the action will be getting started early this afternoon. While we’re waiting on those pucks to hit the ice, let’s take our daily look at what’s happening around the league. Here are a few of the players everyone is talking about right now.

Patrik Berglund, C, St. Louis Blues: The Blues have played very well against the Avalanche this season, but this time Colorado gave them a game. St. Louis jumped out to a 2-0 lead on the strength of Bergland’s (eventual game-winning) goal, but the Avs made it interesting by scoring in the third. That’s the way things would stay, with the Blues emerging victorious 2-1.
St. Louis won all four of their games last week, so they’re rolling as they head into today’s matchup in Minnesota. They’ll head back home on Tuesday to see Dallas.

Adam Henrique, C, New Jersey Devils: Henrique did a lot of the heavy lifting as the Devils eked by the Hurricanes yesterday. He scored twice in the 5-4 win, giving him a six game goal-streak during which he’s found the back of the net 10 times (with a pair of assists in that span as well). Henrique has 23 scores and 15 helpers on the season so far.
The Devils went 2-2 last week, and we’ll see if they can improve on that in the next few days. Their next game is Tuesday in Philadelphia.

Tyler Seguin, C, Dallas Stars: It’s a bittersweet feeling this morning in Dallas. The Stars got a victory over Minnesota yesterday 4-3, with Seguin scoring once and helping on two others. The mood is dampened by the fact that goaltender Kari Lehtonen was injured in a collision during the game, however. The fear is that it’s a concussion, but we’ll have to see what the tests say. Stay tuned.
The Stars’ three-games-in-three-days stretch continues today at home against the Blue Jackets. They’ll head to St. Louis tomorrow before finally getting a couple days off.

Tommy Wingels, C, San Jose Sharks: There are several players we can call out for the Sharks’ dominant win over Montreal yesterday, but we’ll start with Wingels. He posted to goals in the 4-0 rout, which begins a points streak after he logged an assist in his last appearance. Logan Couture (goal; two assists) and Antti Niemi (27-save shutout) were two more big names for San Jose.
The Sharks will get a chance to continue this momentum on Tuesday at home against Toronto. They play in Columbus Thursday and at the Islanders on Friday.

NHL Daily Schedule: 10 teams will be out on the ice today, and the action will be spread out across several hours. Here’s a look at the complete schedule, along with the start times and TV networks carrying each game.
