The Xcel Energy Center and the Minnesota Wild host the Edmonton Oilers in Tuesday action.
Edmonton was at the wrong place at the wrong time when they faced the red hot Kings Sunday. The Oilers simply didn't have enough going for them at either end of the ice in a 4-2 defeat that gave Los Angeles win number seven in a row. Jeff Carter paced the Kings attack with a pair of tallies with Trevor Lewis and Alec Martnez also scoring that made the 25 save effort of Jonathan Quick a winning one. The Oilers bid for a third straight win fell short with Sam Gagner and Taylor Hall scoring with Ben Scrivens posting 46 saves.

Minnesota fought back from an early 2-0 deficit to mighty St Louis only to fall 3-2 in a shootout. The Wild fell behind 2-0 in the first only to knot it in the second before TJ Oshie and Alexander Steen posted shootout tallies while Oshie and Carlo Colaiacovo scored in the opening frame. Brian Elliott stopped 17 shots including both Minnesota attempts in the SO. Jaso Pominville and Matt Moulson found the back of the net for the Wild with Ilya Bryzgalov absorbed the defeat with a 20 stop performance in his first contest since coming over from Edmonton.
Edmonton is 4-22 in their last 26 in Minnesota and 14-39 in the last 53 overall while the over is 4-1 in the last five in Minnesota. The trends heavily favor the Wild but I'll watch the line and verify goalies...
