The Los Angeles Kings look to stay hot when the dangerous Minnesota Wild visit the Staples Center.
A late scoring burst carried playoff hopeful Minnesota past host Phoenix by a 3-1 count on Saturday. The Wild and Coyotes are locked in a battle for the first Wild Card which the visitors managed to hold on to with a three goal third period that saw Zach Parise tally twice with Jared Spurgeon adding another. The Wild won for the third time in nine contests as Ilya Bryzgalov posted stopped 23 shots. The Coyotes scored just over three minutes in when Mikkel Boedker tallied but Thomas Greiss fell short in the last 12 minutes with 27 stops being a losing effort.

An early offensive burst overcame a shaky third period as Los Angeles knocked off visiting Winnipeg 4-2 on Saturday. The Kings led 3-0 after 20 minutes and 4-1 as the Jets found their scoring touch too late. Anze Kopitar paced the attack with a pair of goals with Trevor Lewis and Tyler Toffoli adding markers while Jonathan Quick picked up the victory on 24 stops as the surging LAK won number six in a row. Winnipeg received goals from Matt Halischuk and Blake Wheeler with the loss going to Ondrej Pavelec who allowed the three first period tallies in his first start since being injured. Al Montoya came on for the final two periods and was touched for a goal on 13 shots.
The under is 3-0-1 in the last four with the over going 6-2-1 in the las nine in Los Angeles. The real trend I'm looking at is the Kings six game winning streak. I'm favoring the Kings pending goalies but Minnesota is dangerous...
