The Florida Panthers travel to the Prudential Center to take the ice with the New Jersey Devils.
Florida struggled at both ends of the ice against visiting Montreal Saturday and the result was a 4-1 defeat. It was 3-0 before the Panthers finally got on the board but the game was over by the second. Max Pacioretty tallied two times with David Desharnais and Thomas Vanek also finding the back of the net to make a winner of Carey Price and his 36 stops as the Canadiens won number five in a row. The Panthers lone score came off the stick of Brad Boyes in the second with Dan Ellis getting the loss on only 15 saves. The slumping Panthers have now dropped nine of 12.

The New York Islanders squeezed by visiting New Jersey 2-1 in a shootout Saturday as the Devils dropped their 14th straight SO which is easily a league record. The Devils failed to score in the shootout while the Isles received goals from Brock Nelson and Frans Nielsen to send th home crowd home with smiles on their faces. Nielsen also scored in the second period for New York with Adam Henrique lighting the lamp for the visitors. Cory Schneider posted 19 saves in defeat which saw New Jersey drop five points out of a postseason berth while Anders Nilsson recorded 23 stops.
The home team is 5-0 in the last five match ups while Florida is 8-24 in the last 32 visits to New Jersey. The trends favor the Devils but I don't like the way this team plays so even when the goalies are announced I will probably look elsewhere...
