The Philadelphia Flyers go on the road to face the St Louis Blues at the Scottrade Center in Tuesday night NHL action.
Philadelphia played Boston as well as any team has and it still wasn't enough with the visitors winning 4-3 in a shootout. Reilly Smith netted the winner in the fifth round in what was a back and forth affair the Flyers tied 3-3 on Vincent LeCavalier's marker with a mere 24 ticks left in regulation. LeCavalier and Kimmo Timonen also scored in the first but Steve Mason's 27 stops was not enough. Former Flyer Andrej Meszaros and Zdeno Chara tallied for Boston while Patrice Bergeron lit the lamp for the 7th consecutive contest to make Tuukka Rask's 49 stops stand up.

St Louis suffered a rare home defeat when Dallas skated away from the Scottrade Center with a 4-2 victory. Colton Sceviour was the offensive hero for the Stars with a pair of goals with Antoine Roussel and Cody Eakin also finding the back of the net with the duo of Shawn Horcoff and Jordie Benn adding a pair of helpers. Kari Lehtonen picked up the win with a 33 save effort as Dallas is now within a single point of the Coyotes for the final Wild Card. Alex Steen was the Blues offense with both goals while Ryan Miller was tagged for all four goals on 27 Dallas shots which put a halt to a three game winning streak.
Philadelphia is 10-4 in the last 14 meetings but the home team is 5-1 in the last six while the under is 4-1 in the past five. I'm a little biased as a Flyers fan but once goalies are announced I'll give this one a look...
