The New York Rangers look for a win on the road when they face the Vancouver Canucks at Rogers Arena.
Everytime the Rangers take the ice they have Philadelphia breathing down their neck with second place in the Metropolitan Division up for grabs. New York did what they had to do Sunday with a dominant 5-0 decision on the road versus Edmonton to move two points ahead of the Flyers who lost to Boston. Rick Nash and Mats Zuccarello eash scored twice with Derrick Brassard also lighting the lamp in support of Cam Talbot's 26 save performance that earned him his third shutout. The Oilers could generate nothing offensively and Ben Scrivens was charged with all five goals in the loss as the NYR have won five of six while Edmonton has dropped four of five.

Anaheim rebounded from a disappointing loss to Edmontonton with a convincing 5-1 victory at Vancouver on Saturday. With the win the Ducks moved in to second in the Western Conference and tied a team record with win number 48. Saku Koivu, Matt Beleskey, Corey Perry, Luca Sbisa and Mathieu Perreault each lit the lamp for the visitors while Frederik Andersen posted 31 stops in the win. Brad Richardson's first period tally was the extent of Vancouver's offense with Eddie Lack allowing all five goals on 21 shots. The Ducks had the Canucks number this season by winning all four match ups.
The Rangers are 1-4 in the last five trips to Vancouver with the under going 4-0 in the past four there as well while going 5-2 in the last seven overall. Vancouver needs this to boost their playoff hopes and the Rangers need it for postseason positioning so plenty at stake. I'll look in to it as I wait for goalies...
