The Air Canada Centre and the Toronto Maple Leafs play host to the dangerous Winnipeg Jets Saturday.

Pittsburgh rode a third period scoring burst to pick up a 4-2 decision at Winnipeg Thursday that wrapped up the top spot in the Metropolitan Division. Craig Adams, Beau Bennett, Brian Gibbons and Paul Martin each found the back of the net as the Pens tallied three straight times to erase a 2-1 deficit and make a winner of Marc-Andre Fleury who made only 13 saves. Zach Redmond and Olli Jokinenscored for Winnipeg with the loss going to Ondrej Pavelec who allowed the four goals on 21 shots. The Penguins have had the Jets number with Thursday's win making it 19 victories out the last 22 head to heads.

Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Winnipeg Jets Pick-Odds-Prediction - 4/5/14

Facing the powerhouse Bruins with your playoff lives at stake is not an ideal situation for any team but that was eactly the situation Toronto had in front of them Thursday. Those hopes stayed alive thanks to the Maple Leafs 4-3 OT victory that left them a single point behind the Blue Jackets who beat Philadelphia to maintain their grip on the last Wild Card. Patrice Bergeron and Milan Lucic scored in the third to force overtime before Nazem Kadri beat Chad Johnson with the man advantage at the 2:50 mark. Brad Marchand scored the othe goal for the visitors with Johnson stopping 25 shots. Jonathan Bernier injured his leg in the third after a 25 save effort and was replaced by James Riemer who stopped 10-11 shots. Tyler Bozak, James van Riemsdyk and Paul Ranger scored in regulation for the Leafs.

The home team is 8-2 in the last ten meetings with Winnipeg going 4-1 in the last five while the over has gone 4-1 in the last five in Toronto. For whatever reason I am not very confident in backing Toronto who has to win so I would expect a strong effort but I want to see if Bernier is out or in...
