The United Center and the Chicago Blackhawks host the St Louis Blues in early afternoon action Sunday.
A three goal second period led visiting Colorado to a 4-0 victory over St. Louis on Saturday afternoon. The surging Avalanche posted win number six in a row and earned their 50th win of the season to guarantee they stay ahead of the Blackhawks for the second spot in the Central. The Avs received second period tallies from Nathan MacKinnon, Paul Stastny and Nick Holden with Ryan O'Reilly adding a third period power play tally. Semyon Varlamov didn't waste the support with a 31 save effort to pick up the win. Ryan Miller posted 25 saves in the loss that dropp St Louis two points behind Boston for the President's Trophy.

Chicago picked up a 4-3 road win at playoff hopeful Columbus on Friday to stay on the heels of Colorado for second in the Central Division. Tied at 3-3 in the third with a mere four ticks left in regulation, Ben Smith tipped in a rebound to send the Blue Jackets faithful home in disbelief. Jeremy Morin, Marian Hossa and Patrick Sharp also lit the lamp to make a winner of Antti Raanta and his 24 stop effort. Derek MacKenzie, Ryan Johansen, and Artem Anisimov found the back of net for Columbus while Sergei Bobrovsky posting 34 stops as the Blue Jackets still are still one point ahead of Toronto for the second Wild Card.
The home team is 4-1 in the past five match ups with the Blues going 4-1 in the last five while the under has gone 5-1 in the past six. I expect both #1 goalies to go with so much at stake but I lean under right now...
