The Colorado Avalanche look for another win when the Pittsburgh Penguins visit the Pepsi Center Sunday.
On the surface it appears Pittsburgh did not play well at Minnesota and the boxscore would back up that claim. However a 4-0 defeat at Minnesota on Saturday came with several players getting the night off with the Penguins already in the postseason as the Metropolitan Division champions. The Wild jumped to a 3-0 lead after 20 minutes with Mikko Koivu, Erik Haula and Stephane Veilleaux scoring with Cody McCormack lighting the lamp in the second. Ilya Bryzgalov earned his third shutout with 20 saves to keep the Wild in control of the first Wild Card. Jeff Zatkoof took the loss with a 16 save performance.

Colorado is peaking at just the right time with the end of the season fast approaching and the team looking to wrap up second in the Central Division and home ice in round one of the postseason. The Avs took another step towards their goal with a 4-0 victory at St Louis on Saturday that kept Chicago in their rear view mirror for another day. Paul Stasny, Nathan MacKinnon, Nick Holden and Ryan O'Reilly scored for the visitors who received 31 stops from Semyon Varlamov to notch win number 50 on the year. St. Louis saw Ryan Miller charged with all four goals on 29 shots as they trail Boston by two points in the race for the President's Trophy.
