The Anaheim Ducks travel to Rexall Place to battle Pacific Division foe the Edmonton Oilers Sunday.
I don't know what happens to the Ducks sometimes as they can look mediocre against some of the lesser lights. If you need proof then look no further then Friday night when visiting Nashville thrashed them 5-2 behind a four goal first period explosion. The Predators are seven ponts out of the second Wild Card race but didn't look like it with Mike Fisher and Colin Wilson scoring twice with Patric Hornqvist also lighting the lamp while Pekka Rinne made 27 saves. The Ducks received goals from Daniel Winnek and Kyle Palmieri but Jonas Hiller gave up four goals on 17 shots in the opening frame before getting the hook.

Playoff hopeful Phoenix blew a late lead and cost themselves a point in the standings in a 3-2 shootout loss visiting Edmonton Friday night. Sam Gagner tied the game with 40 seconds left in regulation and scored the only goal in the SO to lead the Oilers attack. Justin Schultz also tallied for the visitors with Ben Scrivens brushing aside 24 shots in regulation to halt a three game skid. The Coyotes received tallies from Kyle Chipchura and Oliver Ekman-Larsson who also posted an assist while Thomas Greiss stopped 24 shots. Phoenix took over the second Wild Card with the one point with Dallas not playing.
The home team is 4-0 in the last four meetings while Anaheim is 13-3 in the last 16 with Edmonton with the under going 7-1 in the last eight there. I know the Ducks will be favorites on the road and probably win but I wouldn't bet the house on them...
