The Anaheim Ducks and the Vancouver Canucks meet in NHL action from Rogers Arena on Thursday night.

The Anaheim Ducks will try to build on back-to-back wins after a 6-5 shootout win over the San Jose Sharks in their last game. Troy Terry leads the Ducks with 12 points including 4 goals and a team-high 8 assists while Trevor Zegras has 8 points with 6 goals and Ryan Strome has 6 points with a pair of goals and 4 assists. Frank Vatrano also has 5 points with 4 goals as well this season. John Gibson has gone 2-5-1 with a 4.23 GAA and an .888 save percentage while Anthony Stolarz is 1-1 with a 3.96 GAA and an .899 save percentage this season.

The Vancouver Canucks will try to bounce back from a 5-2 loss at the hands of the New Jersey Devils last time out. Bo Horvat has a team-high 10 points with 8 goals while Elias Pettersson also has 10 points with 4 goals and a team-high 6 assists. J.T. Miller has 9 points with 5 goals and 4 assists and Andrei Kuzmenko and Quinn Hughes each have 6 points with Hughes logging 6 assists while Kuzmenko is split between 3 goals and 3 assists. Thatcher Demko’s gone 1-6-1 with a 4.06 GAA and an .876 save percentage while Spencer Martin’s 1-0-1 with a 2.43 GAA and a .926 save percentage so far this season in goal for Vancouver.

Anaheim is 16-36 in their last 52 road games and 15-39 in their last 54 games overall while the over is 7-1 in their last 8 games following a win. Vancouver is 2-9 in their last 11 games overall and 0-4 in their last 4 games played on 1 day rest while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 home games.

I get the reasoning for Vancouver being favored at home, but the problem is that outside of home ice, there’s really nothing to like about the Canucks in their current form, even with the Ducks on the road on the other side. The Ducks have suddenly found back-to-back wins out of nowhere, and they’ve had a ton of success against the Canucks in recent years. I’ll side with the Ducks and the plus money.
