The Bruins look to even the series with the Canadiens on Thursday night as game four goes at the Bell Centre in Montreal.

The Boston Bruins almost pulled off another miraculous comeback at the expense of the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night as they fought off a 3-0 deficit and pulled to within a goal in what was a very exciting contest between two bitter rivals. The Bruins stormed back in game two to take a pivotal win away from their counterparts in what could have been a 2-0 series deficit and while they have relinquished home ice advantage and are trailing in the series they are still very much alive. The Bruins have so much fight in them and are never out of a contest as they demonstrated on Tuesday night and with all the momentum being swung in Boston’s favour to close out game three you would have to think they will come out with some more fire than we have seen of late. Tuukka Rask has played very well in this series but has been outperformed thus far by his adversary in the Montreal crease in Carey Price who has to be considered the MVP of these playoffs so far for Montreal.

Montreal Canadiens vs. Boston Bruins - 5/8/14

The Canadiens raced through their series with the Lightning and stole the series opener against the Bruins but their winning ways had to come to an end at some point and while it was inevitable the Habs certainly didn’t lay down. Montreal’s win on Tuesday has pushed them to a 6-1 record so far in the 2014 playoffs which has them with the best mark among qualifiers and they can push the B’s to the brink of elimination with another win here on home ice. Montreal is a very pesky team that is competitive with the best of the them in the NHL and with guys like PK Subban, Thomas Vanek, and Max Pacioretty playing the way they are they are going to be a very tough team to beat. I hate that the Bruins are such a pricy favourite here on the road as I anticipate they will come out with a lot more tenacity and energy but they are on the road nonetheless against a very good Montreal team that has some of the best fans in the league. Nonetheless, the play here is on Boston who is too good of a team to head back home facing a tough 3-1 deficit and I expect them to take this one with relative ease.
