The Boston Bruins look to take the series lead when the Montreal Canadiens visit for game five.
The Bruins and Canadiens battled for three scoreless periods before Boston won it in overtime 1-0 to tie the series at two games apiece on Thursday night. In a series that has seen plenty of scoring and momentum shifts this was rather quiet in comparison. Neither goaltender blinked in regulation with both coming up big in the save department in what felt like a game seven.

Matt Fraser was the offensive hero for Boston with his first career playoff goal 1:19 into the extra session to send the Bruins bench in to celebration. Both goalies saw their share of rubber with Tuukka Rask recording 33 stops to post his second shutout of this postseason and 5th career whitewash while Carey Price posted 34 shots in defeat.
Montreal had a golden opportunity in the second when Brian Gionta got behind the Boston defense to go one on one with Rask but was denied while the Bruins big chance came in the third when Reilly Smith hit the crossbar on the power play. The Bruins finished 0-2 with the man advantage and are 0-8 on the PP in this series.
Oddly enough Fraser was just called up from Providence of the American Hockey League but my guess is he probably earned himself another start in game number five back in Boston. Speaking of game five, I don't think home ice has a lot of meaning although Boston has it right now. This series has gone from wild finishes to defensive struggles and to be honest it's been tough to cap. I'd rather sit back and watch the next one but for now I lean Boston while waiting for a line...
