The Excel Energy Center and the Minnesota Wild host game six against the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday.
Chicago maimtained a perfect record at home in the postseason by squeezing by Minnesota 2-1 to take a 3-2 series lead on Sunday. However, the potent Blackhawks offense was held in check for the third straight time in this series with four goals in this span. The series heads to the Excel Energy Center where the Wild have been the nine hundred pound gorilla so it will be interesting to see how each team responds.

Chicago proved they can 'D' it up as well as score with the real hero in game five being Corey Crawford who recorded 26 saves and made a few goals stand up with several great saves in the final 1 1/2+ minutes when Minnesota pulled Bryzgalov for the extra attacker in a desperate attempt to tie the score. Erik Haula opened the scoring with a first period tally with 3 1/2 minutes left that gave the fans at the United Center a worry but that was the extent of their scoring.
Patrick Kane evened the score in the second when his shot deflected off of Bryan Bickell and past Bryzgalov while Patrick Toews backhanded a rebound to light the lamp at the 4:33 mark of the third for the game winner and the first lead Chicago mustered since game two. Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 26 shots and generally played well and with no word on the condition of Darcy Kuemper the former will be between the pipes in game six.
Despite taking game five and owning a 3-2 series lead I think Minnesota has stood toe to toe with Chicago and Bryzgaloz in the nets has not been the weak link many thought. The Wild are a rock solid home squad and have a shot at forcing a game seven which is what I lean to. Please check back on Tuesday when a line is out...
