The Montreal Canadiens look to even their series with the New York Rangers in game two at the Bell Centre.
The Rangers embarassed the Canadiens in the opener of the Eastern Conference finals by a 7-2 mark on Saturday. This one was not much of a contest with New York scoring early and often and never letting the Habs catch their breath in proving their ouster of Pittsburgh was no fluke. Not a thing went right for Montreal as they were vastly overmatched and appeared to be hungover from their series with Boston.

Seven different players scored for the visitors who led 4-1 by the end of the second before continuing the carnage in the third. Ryan McDonagh paced New York with a goal and a trio of helpers with Mats Zuccarello scoring and posting two assists. Derek Stepan, Rick Nash, Martin St. Louis and Chris Kreider all found the back of the net and posted an assists to make an easy winner of Henrik Lundqvist who brushed aside 20 shots. Lundqvist had struggled at the Bell Centre with a 4.63 GAA in going 0-3-1 in his previous four visits.
Montreal received goals from Rene Bourque and Lars Anders with the latter adding an assist. Carey Price struggled between the pipes with four goals allowed on just 20 shots before getting the hook in favor of Peter Budaj after two periods. The change in netminders was zero help as Budaj was charged with three goals on only eight shots in the final 20 minutes. I have two keys to victory for Montreal in game two; score alot of goals and perhaps stop a few shots. For New York I have one key; put the puck on net and the chances are good it will end up in the net. Please check back a few hours before game time when I'll have a pick...
