The Los Angeles Kings return to the Staples Center to face the Chicago Blackhawks in game three.
The Kings rode a huge third period to a 6-2 victory over the Blackhawks at the United Center on Wednesday. Chicago's postseason home dominance came to a halt as well as the Kings stole away home ice advantage to even the best of seven series 1-1. Los Angeles had struggled mightily at the United Center dealt Chicago their first home loss in this year's playoffs behind a five goal explosion over the final 20 minutes.

This game looked eerily similar to the opener with Chicago protecting a narrow lead before the LAK did an about face. The home team opened the scoring on Nick Leddy's power play tally at the 14:16 mark and doubled the advantage less then two minutes in to the second on Ben Smith's wrist shot. With the Hawks looking like they were going to pull away the LAK finally broke in to the scoring column on Just Williams goal with less then two minutes remaining in the second.
It was all Los Angeles from there with Jeff Carter posting a hat trick with Jake Muzzin scoring on the man advantage while Tyler Toffoli also joined the party. Jonathan Quick picked up the win with a 23 save effort while Corey Crawford was charged with four goals on eleven third period shots and recorded 25 stops overall. Los Angeles has continued to respond to adversity which they'll likely face many times before this series is over but heading to game three tied 1-1 instead of down 0-2 has to be a lift. No line out and as usual I will post several hours before game time but my initial lean is Kings...
