The Montreal Canadiens hope to avoid elimination when they host the New York Rangers in game five.
The Rangers came away from game four with a 3-2 overtime decision against Montreal on Sunday night to take a commanding 3-1 series lead. The Canadiens host game five at the Bell Centre looking to stay alive and send this series back to Madison Square Garden. The Rangers never trailed yet squandered 1-0 and 2-1 leads before winning in the extra session.

Martin St Louis sent the sold out MSG crowd in to a wild celebration with the game winner at the 6:02 mark of OT with a wide open shot from the right circle that sailed over Dustin Tokarski who played another strong game in place of Carey Price. New York's struggles on the power play are well documented but they lit the lamp in the opening frame while shorthanded when Carl Hagelin broke free on a pass from Brian Boyle and he deposited a backhander for a 1-0 lead.
The Habs bounced back in the second on a 2-1 break that saw Francis Bouillon score on a wrister to even the contest a little more then eight minutes in. Derick Brassard gave the Blue Shirts a 2-1 bulge when he fired the puck off the crossbar with 55 seconds remaining in the middle frame. Montreal simply wouldn't go away when PK Subban scored on the power play two minutes in to the third before the respective netminders held the fort to force overtime. Tokarski made 26 stops in defeat while Henrik Lundqvist recorded 27 saves.
This has been an interesting series and depending on your rooting interests this series could be over if the Rangers had won game three's overtime bout or the series could be 2-2 if the Canadiens had won Sunday's OT battle. I don't think Montreal feels all that warm and cozy returning home given the New Yorkers play better away from MSG and have already won twice at the Bell Centre. I'll be looking at this in depth and post a pick a few hours before the start of game five but it might be tough to look past the visitors...
