The Los Angeles Kings and Chicago Blackhawks battle in a decisive game seven at the United Center.
The Blackhawks outlasted the Kings 4-3 at the Staples Center on Friday to even their series and force a game seven at the United Center. As I keep saying, momentum in the NHL postseason changes by the minute sometimes and now it should be with Chicago who have won consecutive contests to erase a 3-1 series hole. The flipside is the Kings have already won a pair of game seven's and have beaten the Blackhawks at the United Center.

Dwight King, Drew Doughty and Alec Martinez lit the lamp for Los Angeles who led 1-0 in the first and 3-2 in the third. The Blackhawks received a pair of tallies from Patrick Kane including the game winner with 3:45 remaining in regulation. Ben Smith and Duncan Keith also found the back of the net with Keith scoring the tying goal in the third off a pass from Kane. Jonathan Quick struggled with all four goals allowed on 25 shots to absorb the loss while Corey Crawford recorded 26 stops for the victors.
A look back at the Kings and we see this group has lost three in a row in each of their first two series and are on the verge of doing it once again in the conference finals which would end their season. Los Angeles trailed San Jose 3-0 before winning four in a row and led Anaheim 3-0 before the Ducks won three straight but losing game seven. I don't think the LAK have a fear of this game seven at the United Center because they have been there before as the saying goes. Having said that the Kings have shown a ton of backbone in these playoffs but I wonder if they have pushed the envelope too far this time.
The defending champs were on the ropes and wouldn't die and that's kind of how I'm looking at this one. How many chances do you get to eliminate one of the most talented teams in the game before eventually it comes back to bite you? I'm waiting on a line and will have a pick hours before the puck drops so please check back but I am looking at the defending champs...
