The Winnipeg Jets and the Arizona Coyotes meet in NHL action from the Gila River Arena on Tuesday night.

The Winnipeg Jets come into this game on the heels of a 5-4 OT win over Vegas last time out. Kyle Connor has 34 points and 19 goals to lead the Jets while Pierre-Luc Dubois has 25 points with 14 goals and 11 assists. Andrew Copp has 21 points with 13 assists while Neal Pionk has 14 assists and Brenden Dillon leads the Jets with a +12 plus/minus rating this season. Blake Wheeler and Nate Schmidt also lead the Jets with 16 assists this season while Nikolaj Ehlers has 24 points split between 12 goals and 12 assists. Connor Hellebuyck’s seen the bulk of the action this season in goal for Winnipeg, going 12-9-4 with a 2.74 GAA and a .915 save percentage this season.

The Arizona Coyotes will look to rebound from an 8-7 shootout loss to San Jose in their last game. Clayton Keller leads the Coyotes with 23 points, logging a team-high 10 goals and 13 assists while Shayne Gostisbehere has 15 assists this season. Phil Kessel has 21 points with a team-high 16 assists while Lawson Crouse and Travis Boyd have a combined 15 goals on the year. Karel Vejmelka’s seen the majority of the action in goal for Arizona, going 2-11-1 with a 3.28 GAA and a .902 save percentage while Scott Wedgewood is 4-7-2 with a 3.36 GAA and an .897 save percentage so far this season.

Winnipeg is 5-11 in their last 16 road games and 1-5 in their last 6 games against a team with a losing record while the over is 3-0-2 in their last 5 games overall. Arizona is 14-37 in their last 51 games overall and 14-40 in their last 54 games as an underdog while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games against the Western Conference.

I get the allure of a home dog in most spots and the Winnipeg’s been much better at home than on the road, but the issue is that the Coyotes are still one of the worst teams in the NHL and have been giving up goals left and right. I’m also not at the point where I want to back Winnipeg on the road though, so I’ll side with the over as I just don’t see the goal-scoring stopping in this one.
