The Air Canada Centre and the Toronto Maple Leafs brace for a visit fro the Colorado Avalanche.
The Colorado Rockies pulled off a last second win at Boston Monday...literally. Danny Briere tallied the game winner with less then a second remaining in regulation to escape with a 2-1 victory and avoid overtime which was doubly important with the Avalanche scheduled for back to back contests with a trip to Toronto Tuesday. Jamie McGinn scored the other goal in the second period for the Avs first tally of the season after being held scoreless in their first two contests versus Minnesota. Reto Berra recorded 27 stops to pick up the win while the Bruins received a goal from Loui Eriksson and 28 stops from Niklas Svedberg.

The Toronto Maple Leafs picked up their first win of the season with a 6-3 rout of the Rangers on the road Sunday. The Maple Leafs broke open a close contest with a five goal second period to essentially put this in the win column. James van Riemsdyk, Tyler Bozak and Cody Franson each found the back od the net and added an assist while Phil Kessel scoredand postes a pair of helpers to pace the offensive explosion. The wi might have been costly with goalie James Riemer leaving in the final frame when he collided with Dominic Moore of New York. Jonathan Bernier finished the game in the nets with a goal allowed on 12 shots.
The under has hit in the last four meetings in Toronto while the road team has won seven straight. The Avalanche have gone 4-0 in the past four match ups so the trends say Colorado in a low scoring contest. The Avs have a grand total of two goals in three games so they are not a team you will have a lot of faith on although the season is young. No line out but please check back by Tuesday afternoon when goalis and the line will be out...
