The red hot Anaheim Ducks look to continue their winning ways when the struggling Sharks pay a visit. The Ducks have not tasted defeat since the first day of the season with seven consecutive victories after a 4-1 victory over visiting Columbus on Friday night. Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry and Sami Vatanen each found the back of the net and added assists with Devante Smith-Pelly adding a goal. Anaheim led 2-0 in the first before Scott Hartnell got the visitors on the board but it was all downhill from there as the Ducks turned up the defensive pressure and kept scoring. John Gibson picked up the win with aa 16 save performance while Sergei Bobrovsky was saddled with the defeat with a 30 stop effort to see their shot at back to back wins go by the wayside.
The Sharks are 0-5 in their last 5 in the fourth game of a 4-in-6 situation with the over going 4-0 in Sharks last 4 vs. a team with a winning record and 5-1 in Sharks last 6 overall. For Anaheim the under is 4-0 in Ducks last 4 overall while going 4-0 in their last four home games while the Ducks are 4-0 in their last 4 games playing on 1 days rest. Head to head the over is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings in Anaheim with the Sharks going 1-5 in the last 6 meetings in Anaheim while the home team is 19-7 in the last 26 meetings. While trends don't mean a thing when the puck hits the ice the do favor Anaheim. With the Ducks and Sharks heading in opposite directions I would give the home team the edge...
