The Tampa Bay Lightning continue their road swing with a stop at Joe Louis Arena to face the Detroit Red Wings.
The red hot Tampa Bay Lightning look to continue their winning ways when they make a stop in the Motor City to tangle with Detroit. The Lightning have to have some momentum after blasting banged up Columbus 7-4 on Saturday night for victory number five in a row. A four goal first period burst kick starter another big offensive night with Tyler Johnson scoring twice while JT Brown, Cedrric Paquette, Anton Stralman, Ryan Callahan and Brian Boyle each lit the lamp. Evegni Nabokov wasn't at his best but picked up the win with 28 stops. The Blue Jackets received two goals from Scot Hartnell with Nick Foligno and Ryan Johansen also scoring. Anton Forsberg gave up four goals in the first before getting pulled with Curtis McElhinney allowing two more the rest of the way.

The Detroit Red Wings will be looking to build a winning streak when surging Tampa Bay pays a visit Sunday evening. The Red Wings took a step in the right direction in a 4-2 victory over visiting New Jersey on Friday night. The Wings scored twice in the first and two times in the second to take a 4-1 lead heading in to the final 20 minutes with their defense and goaltending holding up. Johan Franzen, Jakub Kindl, Brendan Smith and Niklas Kronwell did the scoring and Jimmy Howard made 15 saves to get the win to end a three game skid. Jordin Tootoo and Steve Bernier lit the lamp for the Devils but Cory Schneider was charged with all four goals before getting replaced by Keith Kinkaid who recorded seven stops as the Devils lost their third in a row.
The over is 6-0 in Lightning last 6 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600 and is 6-0 in Lightning last 6 overall while the Lightning are 4-0 in their last 4 overall. For Detroit the under is 7-1-4 in Red Wings last 12 vs. Atlantic and the over is 6-1-1 in Red Wings last 8 overall and 5-1-1 in Red Wings last 7 vs. Eastern Conference. Head to head the Lightning are 4-1 in the last 5 meetings while the under is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in Detroit and is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings. I'm waiting for the goalies to be confirmed but I think the Lightning will be a bit tired but please chck back Sunday afternoon...
