The Line: Chicago Blackhawks / Dallas Stars --- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Dallas Stars travel to the United Center to take the ice with the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday.
The Dallas Stars begin a roadswing with their first stop in the Windy City to face the Blackhawks. The Stars ended their homestand with a 2-1 defeat to Minnesota which ended their shot at a three game winning streak. This was all about defense and goaltending from the drop of the puck with Minnesota receiving the eventual game winner off the stick of Mikael Granlund just 40 seconds in to the final frame. Erik Haula gave the Wild their first tally in the second and Darcy Kuemper made it stand up with a 27 save effort to give Minnesota concecutive victories. Dallas received a second period goal from Antoine Roussel in the second but Kari Lehtonen and his 20 saves were not enough to steal the win.

The Chicago Blackhawks have been far from consistent thus far and that's the goal when the Stars take the ice at the United Center on Sunday. The Blackhawks are looking to get in the win column following Friday's 4-1 defeat at the hands of Detroit. Neither end of the ice put up much of a fight with the Hawks lone goal coming in the opening frame but were unable to generate anything after that point. The Red Wings received from Luke Glendening, Tomas Tater, Johan Franzen and Brenden Smith as Detroit scored in each period while Jimmy Howard was the benefactor of all the offense to make his 25 stops a winning performance and hand the Blackhawks their first outright loss at Detroit since 2009.
The Stars are 0-7 in their last 7 Sunday games while the under is 5-0 in Stars last 5 vs. a team with a winning record and is 4-0 in Stars last 4 in the fourth game of a 4-in-6 days situation. For Chicago the under is 5-0 in Blackhawks last 5 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of greater than .600 and is 6-0-1 in Blackhawks last 7 vs. Central while the under is 8-1 in Blackhawks last 9 home games. Head to head the over is 10-1 in the last 11 meetings in Chicago while the Stars are 1-9 in the last 10 meetings with the road team going 5-1 in the last 6 meetings. The trends favor Dallas with a big trand to the over so until I see goalies I'll lean over so check back Sunday afternoon...
