The Minnesota Wld look for a win on the road against the Philadelphia Flyers at the Wells Fargo Center.
The Minnesota Wild begin a road swing with their first stop in the City of Brotherly Love. The Wild look to build on their 4-3, overtime victory over visiting Winnipeg on Sunday. This looked like it was going to be a monster rout with Minnesota taking a 3-0 lead in the openong frame only to watch the Jets tie it with three goals in the third. Marco Scandella saved the Wild with a goal just a minute in to the extra session with Zach Parise scoring twice and Nino Niederreiter lighting the lamp in the first. Evander Kane, Andrew Ladd and Michael Frolik tallied for the Jets and Michael Hutchinson took the loss. Niklas Backstrom gave up all three goals in the third before getting yanked in favor of Darcy Kuemper.

The Philadelphia Flyers begin a homestand when the Minnesota Wild pay a visit on Thursday night. The Flyers are hoping to erase the memory of Wednesday's 2-0 defeat at Madison Square Garden to the hands of the hated New York Rangers. Kevin Klein and Rick Nash lit the lamp in in the first and second periods and the Rangers defense and goaltending did the rest. Cam Talbot was strong between the pipes with a 31 save performance to earn his first shutout of the season. Steve Mason was the Flyers lone hope but even his 32 stops was not enough to prevent a three game skid after the Flyers appeared to be going on a tear with victories in a row. Philadelphia's problems at MSG continued as they haven't won there since 2011.
The under is 3-0-2 in Wild last 5 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and is 3-0-1 in Wild last 4 road games while the Wild are 5-1 in their last 6 Thursday games. For Philadelphia the over is 8-1-1 in Flyers last 10 games playing on 0 days rest while the Flyers are 6-1 in their last 7 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400 and are 5-1 in their last 6 home games. Head to head the Wild are 1-5 in the last 6 meetings in Philadelphia and the over is 3-1-1 in the last 5 meetings while the home team is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings. This is a tough one with Philadelphia on a back to back and Claude Giroux hurt so use some caution here...
