The Boston Bruins have had an off year but their standards so far in the 2014-15 season as they currently sit in sixth place in the Atlantic division and while there is a lot of hockey left to be played they certainly have to be feeling a little bit of pressure in the strong Boston market. The B's have had to deal with outgoing talent and others on the shelf due to injury but so has every other team and if Boston is going to be considered an Eastern Conference contender they'll need to start finding ways to win at a more consistent pace and improve on their 7-7-1 record on the road. They head into Winnipeg to take on a solid Jets team who is making waves in the Central division and could very well end their lengthy playoff drought.
The Jets were dealt another blow in the last couple of days as it was learned that young defenseman Jacob Trouba would be heading to the injured reserve putting another blueliner out of action as he joins Tobi Enstrom and Zach Bogosian. It is expected that some reinforcements are on the way but losing your three best defenseman and having to bring back one of your better forwards to fill the void is a tough way to win hockey games and while the Jets have been able to find ways to earn points I wonder how long it'll continue without their top players in the lineup. I am a big supporter of this team as I think they have a very strong make up and to me are a playoff caliber team but in this spot against a Bruins side who is almost getting into desperation mode I think it'll be tough for them and I am on the visitors here.
