Two of the league's worst meet up in Edmonton on Tuesday night as the Oilers play host to the Coyotes in the final match up before Christmas.

The Arizona Coyotes will look to continue their recent dominance over the Edmonton Oilers with a win on Tuesday after getting obliterated by the Vancouver Canucks last night and in the process distance themselves from the Oilers in the bottom of the Pacific division. Arizona comes into Tuesday's game having lost two in a row and seven of their last 10 overall and for a team that has endured so much off ice trouble in terms of finding a stable ownership group it is a shame to see their on ice performance sputter amidst a new group buying the team. The Coyotes changed their name to encompass the entire state in hopes of maybe drawing more fan interest but the ploy hasn't worked as they're still among the league's worst fan bases and when they take to the road they usually get peppered with what its like to play in front of a full arena. Devan Dubnyk should get the start here as he goes up against his former team while the Oilers will go with Ben Scrivens.
The Edmonton Oilers are in the middle of an incredibly ugly losing skid and yet somehow they are just a single point back of the Hurricanes for the worst mark in the league and are only five back of the Coyotes before tonight's match up. Edmonton hasn't been able to catch a break all season and while a lot of the games they have lost this season have been a direct result of not being talented enough they have had their fare share of tough losses that has just exacerbated their tailspin. They will likely see a former colleague tonight though as Devan Dubnyk comes back to Edmonton and while he would love to give his side the victory against his old club I think this is the perfect chance for the Oilers to get back in the win column. They return home to face a terrible team in a back to back after getting shelled last night and at this price I think Edmonton is worth it.
