The Nashville Predators have been one of the game's most consistent teams this season and they have taken the league by storm after a couple of years outside the playoffs and if they can grab a win on the road against the Hawks here it could go a long in how far this team will go this season. Nashville took a huge hit a few seasons ago when Ryan Suter left for Minnesota and a laundry list of players left the league entirely to go to the KHL and as such they have been in disarray for the last couple years while they rebuild both on and off the ice. They have certainly done that and more this year as they look to not only get back in the playoffs but to challenge for the Stanley Cup and with the depth they have at the back end, an emerging attack, and one of the best goalies in the world in Pekka Rinne they certainly have the look of a team prime for a deep playoff run.
The Blackhawks meanwhile have been business as usual this season as they are once again one of the best teams in the league and after claiming yet another Cup title two seasons ago the hawks will look to keep the trend going and claim their third in six years this season. Chicago is built around their top pairing of Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane but they are much deeper than that as they are strong defensively and have a ton of secondary scoring that makes them a dangerous out on any given night and now with Corey Crawford back between the pipes it makes them even tougher to play against. Chicago is pretty heavily favoured here which is a little frustrating as I figured we would get them on the cheap based on how the Preds have been this season but Chicago at home is almost a no brainer and while Nashville has a chance to win here I'll take my chances with Chicago.
