The Boston Bruins have been one of the hottest team in the league of late having gone 8-1-1 in their last 10 games, a mark only surpassed by the St. Louis Blues in that stretch and the B's will be looking for more as they head into New York to take on one of their Original Six rivals. The Bruins have quietly pieced together an impressive stretch and are making up some solid ground in the Atlantic division but a slow start to the season still has them six points back of the Lightning, Canadiens, and Red Wings atop a crowded division. Boston will look to Tuukka Rask here as he will go up against Henrik Lundqvist in a battle of former Vezina Trophy winners in what is easily the most enticing matchup on a light night on the ice. The Bruins head into Wednesday night with an 11-9-3 record on the road while the Rangers are 16-7-3 at MSG.
The Blue Shirts have won back to back games and have responded nicely after their 1-0 shutout loss to the Canadiens at home last week and now they can push that mark to three straight with a big win here over the Bruins. New York sits tied for third in the Metro division with the Capitals and will be battling for a playoff spot right up until the final day of the regular season but beyond the top four in the Metro there is no real threat and the wild card race looks to be in their favour as well so unless there is a catastrophic melt down the Rangers should be in the Eastern Conference playoffs in some capacity. New York has ridden Lundqvist once again this season and they will turn to him here against the Bruins in what should be a great show down between Eastern Conference contenders and while New York has been a great home ice team the Bruins have been solid for the last two weeks and have shown no signs of slowing down. We get Boston at a great price here and they're worth the shot.
