Colorado has entered a breaking point in their season as they look to make up ground in the Central division and a win on the road here against one of the team's they're chasing would go a long way in regaining some momentum. The Avs have been a bit of a disappointment after winning the division last season but that has given us some great odds in spots like this and very rarely has the team let us down and today could be another opportunity as they take on a tough Jets team looking to end a losing streak of their own. Semyon Varlamov will get the call as he will go up against Ondrej Pavelec.
The Jets have had to deal with some issues of their own this season stemming from the injuries on the blue line to the seemingly neverending saga with Evander Kane that took another turn this week as the disgruntled forward was placed on the IR after rumors of having spats with teammates. Winnipeg is still a solid group that in my opinion is worthy of a playoff spot and a win here would go a long way in fending off some of the teams in the rearview but with Pavelec going it might prove to be a tall order. I like the Avs on the road here as they seem to show up in games where they are ruled out and I think we see that again here.
