Corey Schneider and the New Jersey Devils will look to spoil the party for the Canucks as the former Vancouver net minder gets a chance at his old team in his new building.

The Vancouver Canucks were the epicenter of hockey controversy a few years back during the painful saga of Corey Schneider and Roberto Luongo and who if any would be moved and as we all now both were ultimately sent packing in a move that sealed the fate of former GM Mike Gillis. Schneider was dealt for New Jersey's first round draft pick two years back which was in turn used to select Bo Horvat and I think the deal will end up benefiting both sides though it is easy to see right now that New Jersey won the deal hands down. The Canucks are riding Ryan Miller now but he will give way to Eddie Lack in this one after Miller played in New York last night and against a Devils team that is on the outside of the playoff picture and this being a back to back situation I think it is a good move playing Lack in this one. The Canucks sit in second place in the Pacific division but things are incredibly tight from second through until fifth and it'll come down to the wire when determining playoff positions.
The Devils haven't had the season they envisioned coming into the regular season and while they do have some pieces in place I don't see this being a quick fix either as they have an aging roster and not a ton of players in place to step up. New Jersey will have to do their research when it comes to the NHL draft and if they can get a solid return for some of their roster players I think it'd be a great move for them to acquire some young prospects or draft picks to help rebuild the future. Corey Schneider will be geared up for this one though as he will face off against his former team and with the Canucks playing in a back to back and leaning with Eddie Lack I love the under in this one as both teams will be looking to gain the edge defensively. Take the under here.
