The Minnesota Wild look to get back in the win column at the expense of the Nashville Predators.
The Minnesota Wild have been red hot over their past ten outings as winners in seven of those but one of those defeats came on Tuesday in a 2-1 decision versus visiting Edmonton. This looked like it was going to be a display of offense with all three goals scored in the opening period but both defenses locked down and the goaltending was flawless. Benoit Pouliot was the offensive star for the Oilers with both tallies while Ben Scrivens posted 33 stops including 15 in a frantic final 20 minutes. Thomas Vanek recorded the lone Minnesota tally while the loss went to Devan Dubnyk who allowed both goals on 19 shoots as the Wild saw their six game win streak at home end.

The surging Nashville Predators shoot for another big win when the hot Minnesota Wild pay a visit Thursday night. The Predators routed Colorado 5-2 on Tuesday with four goals over the final two periods overwhelming the Avalanche who had won four of five. The balanced Nashville attack saw goals from Craig Smith, Roman Josi, Filip Forsberg, Calle Jarnkrok and Eric Nystrom to make a winner of Pkka Rinne and his 18 stops as the Preds ran their streak to 8-1-1 over the past ten contests. The Avalanche received goals from John Mitchell and Nathan MacKinnon but Semyon Varlamov wasn't up to the challenge with four goals given up on 29 shots before getting the hook in favor of Reto Berra.
