The Wild look to get back in the win column after a tough loss at home last night against the Pacific division leading Ducks and push their wild card lead in the process that currently sits at just two points on the LA Kings. Minny had a great chance to make a statement to the rest of the Western Conference that they are going to be a force come playoff time but they were unable to do so against a tough Ducks team that continues to prove it is not only one of the best of the West but one of the best teams in the league entirely. Minny will likely go back with Devan Dubnyk here as he will go up against Brian Elliott for the Blues.
The Blues meanwhile have won three games in a row and have taken over top spot in the Central division after it looked as thought he Predators were going to run away with it and a victory tonight would give St. Louis an impressive 44 wins in 68 games. The Blues definitely look like one of the Cup favourites and they match up very well against most of the league wide contenders but the gruelling haul of the Western Conference playoffs sometimes plays a huge role in the Cup finals for better or for worse. As for tonight's game the Blues are in a good spot on home ice and the Wild are coming off a home loss and at a really generous price we get the Blues as minor home favourites which we never see. I'll stick with the home side.
