The Kings look for their second straight victory and to distance themselves from the pack in the Pacific division as they head into Anaheim to battle with the best of the West.

The Kings have pulled themselves back into the playoff picture after it looked as though they were going to fall short just a few weeks ago and now with 13 games remaining they look poised to not only get in but to avoid a first round match up with a division winner and play a very winnable series that could very well start on home ice. Los Angeles are the defedning Cup champs for a reason and while they have some pieces that are absent from last year's team they still have the talent to not only win a playoff series but perhaps get back to the Cup finals for the third time in four years. Jonathan Quick will get the start as he will go up against Frederik Andersen in a battle of California powers.
The Ducks have been the most successful regular season team over the last two years and are looking for their second straight top seed in the Western Conference playoffs but they will surely be focused on the bigger prize this season as they were ousted from the playoffs in the Western semis last year. Anaheim went out and made perhaps the biggest move of the offseason by acquiring Ryan Kesler from the Canucks and the move has paid huge dividends as he and the team are enjoying a ton of success and will be a tough out come playoff time. This is a tough one to call as the Ducks are the better team but LA needs the win more but have been abysmal on the road this season. I do think Anaheim gets it done though in what should be a low scoring affair.
