The Kings and Rangers meet up in New York on Tuesday in a rematch of last year's Stanley Cup Final.

The Los Angeles Kings are the reigning Stanley Cup champions and tonight they will take on the team they sent packing in the finals but it is the Rangers who are playing like champions this season and the Kings who are fighting just to get in the playoffs. The Kings have had to overcome some hardships this season and some players from last year's team are no longer a factor but for the most part this is a team that knows how to win and has the pieces to do so but with the Western Conference being incredibly competitive and the Kings running out of time it could come crashing down in a matter of days. The Kings are coming off a win last night against the Devils and at this point in the season they are going to continue starting Jonathan Quick as every game is do or die. The Rangers meanwhile will counter with Cam Talbot who continues to do an amazing job filling in for the injured Henrik Lundqvist.
The Blue Shirts have one of the league's best teams and the greatest part about them is that aside from Rick Nash and the aforementioned Lundqvist they don't have a ton of marquee names yet they play in a system that is conducive to winning and they have the experience from last year's run on their side. New York has been on a tear since December and now that everyone minus Lundqvist is back in the roster they are demonstrating that last season was no fluke and they are going back to finish what they started a year ago and claim the team's first Cup title since 1994. Cam Talbot as mentioned has been incredible and while it is clear that Lundqvist will get the starts when he sees fit the Rangers have a sense of security they can go to Talbot if they need to. While the Kings are the more desperate team I think New York comes out with a purpose here and exacts revenge from last season's Cup loss with a statement victory.
