April 3, 2015
We’re coming off a pretty good night of NHL action, and we’ve got five more games to look forward to tonight. While we’re waiting, let’s check out some of the notable players who are making headlines out there.
Marian Gaborik, RW, Los Angeles Kings: The Kings burst out of their shell on offense last night, flat-out wrecking the Oilers by a tally of 8-2. Gaborik had two goals and an assist in the rout, while Jeff Carter added a pair of his own scores.
The Kings sit at 38-25-14 and are tied with the Jets for the second Wild Card at 90 points. L.A. owns the tiebreaker there.

Henrik Lundqvist, G, New York Rangers: Lundqvist seems to be getting his feel back after a long layoff. He recorded a victory last night against the Wild, as the Rangers took it 3-2. Lundqvist had 26 saves on 28 shots.
Ryan McDonagh helped out offensively with a pair of assists.
The Rangers clinched the Metropolitan Division championship with the victory; they stand at 49-21-7.
Corey Crawford, G, Chicago Blackhawks: Now let’s move on to the Blackhawks net-minder. Crawford put up 35 saves on 36 shots last night against Vancouver, helping his team to a 3-1 win. Marcus Kruger helped out on the offensive end with a goal and an assist.
This win clinches a playoff berth for the Blackhawks, which is their seventh straight postseason appearance.
Paul Statstny, C, St. Louis Blues: The Blues also clinched a postseason appearance last night, getting a 4-1 win over the Flames. Stastny and Jaden Schwartz each had a goal and an assist.
St. Louis joins Chicago, Nashville and Anaheim as the West teams that have clinched. They’re still waiting on the day-to-day status of Alexander Steen and Vladimir Tarasenko.
