The Nashville Predators look to even their series with the Chicago Blackhawks at Bridgestone Arena on Friday.
The Chicago Blackhawks dug themselves out of a first period hole to down the Nashville Predators 4-3 in double overtime. Duncan Keith capped off the comeback with his tally at the 7:49 mark of the second OT to send the home crowd away in shock. After the Predators jumped all over the visitors in the first, Chicago returned the favor with Patrick Sharpe, Niklas Hjalmarsson and Jonathan Toews each lighting the lamp. Corey Crawford was given the yank after allowing three goals on 12 shots while Scott Darling was spectacular in relief with an amazing 42 save performance to get the win.

The Nashville Predators probably know that it’s not how you start but how you finish that matters. If they didn’t know they do now after scoring three times in the first 20 minutes only to not score again in Wednesday’s disappointing double OT loss to visiting Chicago. The Predators might have been the victim of a great performance from backup netminder Scott Darling because he was kept busy with 42 saves so the offense did everything but score. Colin Wilson supplied two goals and Viktor Stalberg also tallied in the three goal first which ended with the Bridgestone Arena crowd ready to celebrate a one sided win. Pekka Rinne recorded 38 saves overall but allowed three goals on eleven shots in the 2nd.
The under is 3-0-1 in Blackhawks last 4 games playing on 1 days rest and the over is 3-0-1 in Blackhawks last 4 Conference Quarterfinals games while Chicago are 5-0 in their last 5 Conference Quarterfinals games. The Predators are 0-7 in their last 7 overall and are 0-5 in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a winning road record while going 0-5 in their last 5 vs. a team with a winning record. No line is out yet as I think Chicago is debating their game two starter so please check back…
