The New York Rangers will look to build on their momentum from Monday night's victory and cruise to another tonight and head back to MSG with a 3-1 stranglehold on the Penguins in what should be another tightly contested affair. The Blue Shirts haven't dominated this series like many people expected they might but they have won two of three games and have done a good job limiting the amount of damage done by Evgeni Malkin and Chris Kunitz. Sidney Crosby has been the only one on the Pens who has shown up and from new York's perspective if they can harness Crosby and blanket the secondary scoring they will be in great shape moving forward but at the same time it would be much better for their game if their own secondary options woke up.
The Penguins face a must win tonight as they know how tough it would be to extend the series in a game five scenario back in New York and as good a team the Pens have been on home ice over the years this should be one they can win. Pittsburgh did a great job in game two of the series and came home with home ice advantage but that was quickly extinguished in game three as the Rangers regained form and held on for another one goal victory that is becoming a staple of New York's playoff success. Pittsburgh has been competitive in every single second of this series and could very well be up 3-0 if they had a couple bounces go their way but the Rangers are a great team and if it wasn't them you could say that luck and flukiness played a role in their 2-1 series edge. However, I love the Pens here as they should get one more big win here before what ultimately could be their final two games of the season.
