NHL Daily Updates: Checking in on the Latest News, Daily Schedule and More
April 25, 2015
We’re set for another weekend of NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs action, and there are four games coming up this afternoon and evening. While we’re waiting on those pucks to hit the ice, let’s check out some of the players from this morning’s news feed.
Craig Anderson, G, Ottawa Senators: Anderson withstood an onslaught of shots last night against the Canadiens, registering 45 saves on 46 attempts as the Senators staved off elimination with a 5-1 victory.
This series now sits at 3-2 after two straight wins by the Senators. They’ll get another chance to extend their season in Game 6 tomorrow at Canadian Tire Centre.

Henrik Lundqvist, G, New York Rangers: The Rangers are headed to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, following a 2-1 overtime win over the Penguins last night. Lundqvist made 37 saves--including a few dazzling efforts--while Carl Hagelin registered the game-winning goal.
Each game in this series was decided by just one goal, and it was a hard-hitting, chippy matchup. The Rangers will face the winner of the Caps-Isles series.
Devan Dubnyk, G, Minnesota Wild: Dubnyk registered a strong game last night against the Blues, helping his team to a victory with 36 saves on 37 shots. The result was a 4-1 Wild win.
Dubnyk was pulled from Game 4 after six goals on 17 shots, so this was a nice bounce-back effort from him.
The Wild lead the series 3-2 and can close things out in Game 6 tomorrow.
