The Ducks tasted their first defeat of the 2015 playoffs on Wednesday night as they allowed the Flames to rally back in the third period, tie the game in the final seconds, and ultimately win in overtime thanks to a shot from the point that fooled Frederik Andersen. It isn't all bad news for the Ducks though as they completely dominated the game five on five and look to be the much better group through three games and are in a good position once again heading into a pivotal game four that could send them home with a chance to book their ticket to the Western Conference final. Anaheim has been resilient all season long and has done a great job at responding after a loss and tonight in the eyes of the odds makers shouldn't be any different.
The Flames continued to show what has pushed them into the playoffs this season and that is their never quit attitude and in game three they stuck with a game plan and capitalized sending the Saddledome crowd into a frenzy. Calgary never trailed in their series with the Canucks but found themselves in a deep hole early against Anaheim but they never you're not in trouble until you lose a game at home and the Flames have yet to do that so far in these playoffs. However, I see that feat coming to an end here as the Ducks are just the better team and after their mental mistakes cost them a game three win I expect Bruce Boudreau will have them ready to go here and I like Anaheim to grab a 3-1 series lead.
