We’ve got a very important Game 7 coming up in the 2015 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs tonight, and when the dust settles in that one we’ll know our final entrant into the conference finals. While we’re waiting, let’s check out some news from around the league in our daily wrap-up.

Nikita Kucherov, RW, Tampa Bay Lightning: The Lightning were able to finish up their series against the Canadiens last night and punch their ticket to the conference finals with a 4-1 victory in Tampa.
Kucherov logged two goals and an assist here, and Steven Stamkos scored as well. Ben Bishop stopped 18 of the 19 shots he faced.
The Lightning put together a stout defensive effort in this one, which ended up being their most solid game of the series. It’s a good thing they did, too, because the Canadiens had the momentum with them through Game 5.
Tampa will go on to face the winner of the Capitals-Rangers series, which finishes up tonight.

NHL News: Player News and Updates for 5/13/15

The Coyotes’ Mikkel Boedker indicated yesterday that he’ll be ready for camp. He’s coming back from a stomach issue. Boedker says he’s doing well with his rehab and workouts, and should be ready to go by September.

The Flames’ Karri Ramo is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, and it’s not likely the team signs him to a deal to keep him from leaving.
Jonas Hiller is still under contract for another year, and Jone Ortio has a one-way contract for this upcoming season, so there’s not a lot of room for Ramo.
There’s a chance Ramo will catch on as a No. 1 goalie somewhere, but it’s more likely he gets a backup position with a chance to compete for the top spot.

NHL Daily Schedule: Here’s a look at the upcoming games on the NHL schedule, including the start times and TV networks where you can catch each matchup.
