The Anaheim Ducks look for another win at the United Center against the Chicago Blackhawks in game four.
The Chicago Blackhawks have gotten a lot of ink about their four lines and offensive prowess but their scoring has been controlled by the Anaheim defense and Frederik Andersen. The Blackhawks escaped Anaheim with the home ice advantage only to give it back in game three’s 2-1 defeat that also has the Hawks staring at a 2-1 series deficit. The Blackhawks offense came off the stick of Patrick Kane with only 56 seconds remaining in the opening frame when his shot from the slot squeezed under the left arm of Andersen. Corey Crawford recorded 26 stops in the defeat which was the first for the Blackhawks at home in this postseason which setup a crucial game four at the United Center on Saturday.

The Anaheim Ducks had dropped a three overtime decision to the Blackhawks for their first loss of the playoffs on home ice so many questioned if the Ducks would be able to bounce back from the disappointment. The answer was yes as Anaheim showed zero signs of any hangover as they once again contained the talent and explosiveness of Chicago and stole back home ice. Patrick Maroon gave the visitors a first period lead with Simon Despres finding the back of the net late in the second which proved to be the game winner. Frederik Andersen was solid between the pipes once again with a 27 stop performance in the victory to steal back any momentum that was lost in the game number two marathon.
The under is 2-0-2 in Ducks last 4 overall and Anaheim are 4-0 in their last 4 after scoring 2 goals or less in their previous game while the under is 2-0-2 in Ducks last 4 vs. Western Conference. The Blackhawks are 5-0 in their last 5 after scoring 2 goals or less in their previous game and the under is 2-0-3 in Blackhawks last 5 vs. Pacific with the over going 4-0-2 in Blackhawks last 6 after scoring 2 goals or less in their previous game. The under is 10-1 in the last 11 meetings in Chicago and the road team is 6-1 in the last 7 meetings while the Ducks are 5-1 in the last 6 meetings in Chicago. No line is out but don’t look past Anaheim who have had the upper hand in all three contests thus far…
