The Chicago Blackhawks and the Tampa Bay Lightning take the ice at the United Center in game three.
The Chicago Blackhawks once again trailed early in game two against Tampa Bay but this time it was the Lightning that prevailed by a 4-3 count to even the Stanley Cup finals at a game apiece.. The Blackhawks still control home ice with the series heading to the United Center on Monday. Chicago received goals from Andrew Shaw, Brent Seabrook and Teuvo Teravainen but there were not late heroics that we saw in game number one. Corey Crawford wasn’t real sharp in the nets with four goals allowed on just 24 shots to absorb the loss but when the Lightning are held below 20 shots on goal the game has to be won.

The Tampa Bay Lightning were faced with the prospect of losing both games at Amalie Arena and going to the Windy City facing an ugly 0-2 hole. However it was the Lightning that came through with a late goal to give themselves a fighting chance in the series which is still up for grabs. Ben Bishop twice left the contest in the third and his condition is unknown. Rookie Andre Vasilevsky stopped all five shots he saw and might be forced in to action in game three. Jason Garrison scored the game winner late in the third while Cedric Paquette, Tyler Johnson and Nikita Kucherov also lit the lamp as the series shifts to the United Center with Chicago still holding the home ice edge.
The Lightning are 4-0 in their last 4 Monday games are 1-5 in their last 6 games following a win while the under is 4-1 in Lightning last 5 road games. The over is 5-1 in Blackhawks last 6 overall and is 5-1 in Blackhawks last 6 vs. a team with a winning % above .600 while Chicago are 4-1 in their last 5 Stanley Cup Finals games. The under is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings in Chicago and the home team is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings while the Lightning are 7-2 in the last 9 meetings. This series doesn’t seem to have a clear favorite the way the two games have gone so far but the injury to Bishop leaves some questions…
