The Oilers look for their first victory of the season as they head into Dallas to take on a Stars team that has split their first two contests.
The Edmonton Oilers head into Tuesday night's game without a single point to their name through two contests and while those games came on the road against two Western Conference powers in St. Louis and Nashville they need to get rolling and quick. Edmonton is expected to do some damage in the Pacific division this season thanks to the selection of Connor McDavid in the lottery draft last July and while the hype on one player usually isn't warranted McDavid is a generational talent that is bound to turn Edmonton's woes around. The Oil have a pretty solid offense top to bottom yet they have just a singke goal in two games and while their defense and goaltending was a question mark coming in they have only conceded five goals in two contests and Cam Talbot has looked great between the pipes. Anders Nilsson will likely get the start here as he will go up against Kari Lehtonen.

The Stars welcome Edmonton in looking for back to back home wins to start the season and while Dallas lost their last time out they are in the conversation as a dark horse in the west and should be a team to watch out for. Dallas has some former Oilers on the roster as Shawn Horcoff and Ales Hemsky will face off against their old team but the Oilers counter with Nilsson who played as a backup for the Stars before his move north and he will certainly be playing with a chip on his shoulder. The value on the road team here is great and I think we see Edmonton's first win of the season and McDavid's first NHL goal as the Oilers get two big points on the road.
