The Line: Buffalo Sabres / Montreal Canadiens --- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Canadiens look to extend their seven game winning streak to start the season as they head into Buffalo to face off against Jack Eichel and the Sabres.
The Canadiens are off to their best start in franchise history and can continue to build on that mark with two wins over the weekend, starting with the Sabres in Buffalo on Friday. Montreal was pegged as a team that is mediocre with the best goalie in the league and while they have the latter part correct the rest of the team has looked very sharp and they should be heavy favourites again in this spot despite having Mike Condon starting between the pipes. The Habs have to be careful though as this is a look ahead spot with a home date set on Saturday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs and you can bet the Sabres have this game highlighted as their big match up for the weekend with the Devils in town on Saturday.

The Sabres are coming off a shootout win over the Maple Leafs on Wednesday night and face their second divisional rival in as many games here and you can bet the building will be loud in hopes of ending Montreal's unbeaten streak. Buffalo has a lot to look forward to in the near future but some of those pieces are here making a difference know as Eichel, Sam Reinhart, and Evander Kane are logging serious minutes and this team could surprise a lot of people as they play their way out of the league basement. I am not sold on this game as Montreal has to lose some time and I don't see it happening tomorrow but in a look ahead spot on the road against a weaker opponent and your back up goalie starting? All the makings of your first loss.
