The New York Islanders look to continue their strong start to the season when the Carolina Hurricanes visit on Thursday night. The Islanders received another strong performance between the pipes from Jaroslav Halak  in a 4-0 victory versus Calgary on Tuesday. Halak now has two shutouts and is 3-1 with a 1.76 GAA after a 29 save effort against the Flames. Frans Nielsen paced the New York attack with a pair of tallies while Cal Clutterbuck and Mikhail Grabovski also found the back of the net. Nikolay Kulemin and Kyle Okposo added a pair of helperseach which was too much for Flames netminder Joni Ortio who stopped 31 shots in defeat.
