After a long stretch of packed game schedules, the NHL is keeping it going today with five more matchups on tap. Let’s take our morning look at the headlines before we get settled in for those.
Antoine Roussel, LW, Dallas Stars: Dallas goalie Anttie Niemi got some revenge against his former team yesterday, when the Stars beat the Sharks 5-3 at American Airlines Center.
Roussel helped out offensively with a goal and two assists in the win, and center Vernon Fiddler had the same total. Jason Demers added a goal and an assist as well.
Dallas is cruising along now with a nice 9-2-0 record. The Sharks fall to 5-5-0.

Marc-Andre Fleury, G, Pittsburgh Penguins: The Penguins are playing pretty well these days too, as evidenced by their 4-0 victory over the Maple Leafs yesterday at Air Canada Centre.
Fleury pitched a shutout with 21 saves on all 21 shots, while Eric Fehr added a goal and an assist.
The win brings Pittsburgh to 7-4-0 this year, while the Leafs are flailing at 1-7-2 thus far. They’re just 0-3-1 at home.
Henrik Zetterberg, LW, Detroit Red Wings: The Red Wings got a big road win last night over the Senators, taking it 5-3 at Canadian Tire Centre. Tomas Tatar and Gustav Nyquist each scored a power-play goal, while Zetterberg chipped in a pair of assists.
The Red Wings move to 5-5-1 on the year, avenging a 3-1 loss Friday at home. The Senators move to 5-4-2.
Michael Frolik, RW, Calgary Flames: Frolik was certainly on fire last night against the Oilers at Rexall Place. He bagged a hat trick on seven shots, helping propel his team to a 5-4 victory. His last shot came with just 8.7 seconds left.
T.J. Brodie also added a goal and an assist here, with Brandon Bollig scoring the other goal. Calgary is now 3-8-1 on the season, while the Oilers fall to 4-8-0.
