The Staples Center and the Los Angeles Kings host the Columbus Blue Jackets in Thursday action.
The Columbus Blue Jackets might not be lighting it up in the early going but they certainly did in Tuesday’s 5-2 victory at the SAP Center versus San Jose. The balanced Blue Jackets attack saw Ryan Murray, Scott Hartnell, Boone Jenner, Brandon Saad and Matt Calvert each light the lamp to support a 41 save performance from Sergei Bobrovsky as the CBJ improved to 3-10-0 on the season. The Sharks received a pair of goals from Joe Pavelski but Martin jones struggled between the pipes with four goals allowed on just 21 shots and was given a seat on the bench with Alex Stalock taking over in the third.

The Los Angeles Kings bounced back from a loss at Chicago on Monday to defeat the St Louis Blues 3-0 at the Scottrade Center on Tuesday. With starter goalie Jonathan Quick getting the night off the Kings turned to Jhonas Enroth between the pipes and he didn’t disappoint with a 24 stop effort resulting in his 6th career shutout. Los Angeles saw Tanner Pearson, Trevor Lewis and Jeff Carter find the back of the net while Drew Doughty recorded his 6th assist in five contests. Blues goalie played well between the pipes with a pair of goals given up on 33 shots but his offense failed to generate any scoring as the team fell to 8-3-1.
The over is 5-0 in Blue Jackets last 5 after scoring 5 goals or more in their previous game and the Blue Jackets are 6-0 in their last 6 vs. Pacific while the over is 6-1 in Blue Jackets last 7 vs. Pacific. The Kings are 4-0 in their last 4 vs. Metropolitan and are 4-0 in their last 4 home games while going 4-0 in their last 4 vs. Eastern Conference. The Blue Jackets are 0-5 in the last 5 meetings in Los Angeles and are 1-6 in the last 7 meetings while the home team is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings. The Kings will be huge favorites so I favor them in some form…
