The Blackhawks look to shake off a collapse against the Blues in their last outing as they take to the road to face off against the New Jersey Devils.
The Chicago Blackhawks were in a great position earlier this week at home as they doubled up the LA Kings on Tuesday and had an opportunity to complete a sweep of two of the better teams in the league on Wednesday against the Blues but ultimately fell short. The Hawks gave up a three goal lead and lost in overtime to St. Louis in what was a crazy game to watch and while it all can't fall on the blue line and goaltending it is clear to see they are missing Duncan Keith. Chicago will look to get back in the win column and net just their second victory away from home this season but they will have to contend with Cory Schneider who remains one of the better goaltending options in the NHL.

The Devils head into Friday night's action looking to shake off a loss but they are 6-3-1 in their last 10 contests and have played better than what most people anticipated in the preseason. New Jersey has an aging roster and not a ton of prospects on the horizon but they can rely on Schneider to bail them out of games and while that will certainly be taxing as the season goes along it will get the Devils victories in the interim. This is actually a decent contest as the Hawks have been shaky on the road and have a void on the blue line so the Devils on the money line is enticing and while I may sprinkle there I think the total will be the better play as New Jersey isn't an offensive team and Chicago will look to crack down after conceding five against the Blues.
